Synopsis

A human figure climbs higher and higher on a stairway that seems to lead to infinity. His progress is accompanied by louder and louder cheers and exclamations of admiration and sympathy. By the time he gets to the top, the door swings open for him and behind the doorsteps, his own coffin is waiting for him.
